COVID-19 Update

Seven Spirit Bay is closely monitoring the developments and advice provided around COVID-19. The health, safety and well-being of both our guests and staff remain our number one priority.

As part of Outback Spirit, Seven Spirit Bay is owned by Journey Beyond – Australia’s largest experiential tourism group. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Journey Beyond has implemented an enhanced set of safety procedures across all its travel experiences. Called JourneySafe, it’s been developed so that you can travel with peace of mind.

JourneySafe protocols not only comply fully with both Government and Industry standards, they go beyond. Your health and wellbeing will be at the forefront of everything we do and will enhance your unique experience.

Fresh & Clean – Exceptional Hygiene

Uncompromising cleaning and hygiene practices are already a feature of all Journey Beyond travel experiences. JourneySafe provides additional cleaning, sanitising and hygiene practices in all areas, with particular emphasis on high touch points and hard surfaces.

Our coaches, vessels, planes, vehicles and lodges are fully equipped with all that you will need. Hand sanitising stations will be available in all public areas and personal hygiene kits also available where appropriate.

Fit for Travel – Be well, Journey well

Guests of Seven Spirit Bay will be asked to complete pre-departure ‘fit for travel’ requirements. This will give you, and all fellow guests travelling, an added level of assurance. For some experiences, temperature screenings will also be conducted. Guests with any symptoms of illness will not be allowed to travel.

JourneySafe includes the implementation of protocols for when guests or staff become unwell during travel or during an experience. We are able to respond quickly and discretely to any such event, including ensuring safe return from remote locations.

Ready to Roll – Training & Expertise

All staff at the Seven Spirit Bay will have undertaken mandatory JourneySafe training and will be proficient in our safety protocols whilst maintaining exemplary service. We will also ensure our experience partners (contractors and suppliers) are activating appropriate COVID Safe practices.

Safe Space – Physical Distancing

Physical distancing measures will be in place wherever practicable. In circumstances where physical distancing is not possible, we will ensure the highest levels of cleaning, hygiene and personal protection options so that guests can still travel with confidence. Stricter than usual hygiene measures will also be in place in relation to dining. Buffets and shared platter offerings have been removed and all meals will be individually plated.
